IS LIVE THE DASH TOURS FOR SINGLES?
Live The Dash Tours caters primarily to solo travelers. Solo travelers can be married or unmarried.
DO I HAVE TO BE A SOLO TRAVELER TO COME ON YOUR TRIPS?
Solo travelers are our niche market; however, we also welcome small groups to join our tours. Please note that small groups that join our tours are expected to integrate into the group, we do not encourage silos.
WHO WILL I BE TRAVELING WITH ON A LIVE THE DASH TOUR?
Individuals on a Live The Dash Tour will typically range in age from 35-65 years; they belong to various races, ethnicities and cultures. Unfortunately though for privacy reasons we cannot reveal the names of your fellow Dashers until the tour commences.
IS THERE A MAXIMUM OR MINIMUM NUMBER OF INDIVIDUALS ALLOWED ON YOUR TOURS?
Yes, the maximum number of Dashers not including the Lead Dasher is 12. The minimum number of Dashers required for a tour to commence is 6. Please DO NOT book airfare until your tour is confirmed in writing.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY A SINGLE SUPPLEMENT?
We will be more than delighted to match you with a roommate of the same gender so that you can avoid the single supplement. If you are interested in roommate matching, please inform us at the time of booking. We will try our absolute best to match you with a roommate. However, if there is not a Dasher to match you with you will be responsible for the single supplement.
CAN I HAVE MY OWN ROOM?
Absolutely, please notify us at the time of booking. Please be aware that you will be responsible for the single supplement.
IS INTERNATIONAL AIRFARE INCLUDED IN YOUR TOURS?
International airfare is not included unless this is specifically stated.
CAN I JOIN THE TOUR MIDWAY THROUGH OR DEPART EARLY?
It would be disruptive and unfair to your fellow Dashers to join the tour late, and so for that reason joining a tour late is highly discouraged. If you have to depart a tour early for unforeseen circumstances, please inform the Lead Dasher as soon as possible. Also, you will be responsible for all costs associated with your early departure, and you will not be refunded for any unused portions of your tour.
DO YOU CATER TO SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS?
When traveling to remote locations, it can be difficult to guarantee this. We will aim to meet your special dietary needs and we ask that you kindly inform us of them at the time of booking
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TOUR?
We look forward to having you join our tours but if you need to cancel, you may do so at any time prior to the commencement of the tour. Please check our Terms & Conditions to determine if penalties apply.
WILL I NEED A VISA TO TRAVEL?
Visa requirements will depend largely on your nationality and the country that we are traveling to. For the most up to date information, please click on the most appropriate link on our Helpful Links page.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
Yes, all individuals who travel with Live The Dash Tours are required to have travel insurance. You will be required to obtain medical travel insurance which includes a minimum of $200,000 USD worth of emergency evacuation, personal injury and repatriation coverage. You must provide proof of insurance before the commencement of the tour. Furthermore, you have made an investment in your vacation and while cancellation insurance is not mandatory, we highly recommend that you include it.
AM I REQUIRED TO GET VACCINATIONS?
Vaccination requirements differ between countries. We have included links to websites in our Helpful Links section that contain information related to travel health. However, you should always seek the advice of your personal physician.
ARE TIPS INCLUDED?
Tips are not included, but we can give you guidance on suggested tipping amounts.
ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED ON A LIVE THE DASH TOUR?
Children are not allowed on our escorted tours unless this is specifically stated. Children may be allowed on our custom tailored tours.
HOW SHOULD I PACK FOR MY TRIP?
We recommend that you pack as lightly as possible. Please be advised that excessive luggage can be quite cumbersome when we’re traveling between multiple cities and countries and we wouldn’t want your luggage to slow you down.
WHAT ARE THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF YOUR TRIPS?
The physical demands for our trips will vary from tour to tour. We use a “-“ (dash) rating system; one dash “-“ will indicate that there is very little physical demand, while 3 dashes “—“ will indicate that there is a reasonable amount of physical demand required, and 5 dashes “—–“ means that you are living the dash at the most physically required level.
CAN I BOOK EXTRA NIGHTS FOR HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS BEFORE/AFTER MY TOUR?
We will do everything in our power to honor your request. In the event that we are unable to book extra nights on your behalf, we will put you in touch with the hotel directly.
CAN I PAY FOR MY TRIP IN FULL?
Yes, you absolutely can! We love it when our Dashers pay their accounts in full.
