On this tour you and your fellow Dashers will begin your journey in Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, where modern city architecture is combined with remnants of Namibia’s German colonial era. The road trips on this tour will afford you the opportunity to see the beautiful landscapes that Namibia has been blessed with. You will also visit the oldest desert in the world, The Namib Desert, where the dramatic colours of its magnificent sand dunes are enhanced by the rising and setting sun.
In the town of Swakopmund you will enjoy an early morning seal and dolphin cruise while indulging on fresh Namibian oysters and sparkling wine. When you arrive in Etosha National Park you’ll get the opportunity to view lions and elephants in their natural habitat.

Day 1: Arrive in Windhoek, Namibia
Upon arrival at Windhoek International Airport you will be welcomed by a representative of Live The Dash Tours. You will then be shuttled to The Elegant Guesthouse which is situated in a quiet suburb of Windhoek. Relax, unwind and have the afternoon at your leisure.
Overnight: The Elegant Guesthouse

Day 2: JSossusvlei, Namibia
Drive through the picturesque Khomas Hochland to Spreetshoogte
Pass (approximately 5 hours). Here you will enjoy the fantastic view off the great escarpment onto the Namib Desert and then continue on to Sesriem. Your overnight accommodations will be at Desert Homestead which is situated 30 km from the entrance to world famous Sossusvlei.
Your chalet provide extensive views of the desert. Enjoy traditional farm cooked meals which are prepared using organically grown herbs and vegetables from the garden with a hint of modern flair. Various riding safaris are offered.

Day 3: Sossusvlei, Namibia
Today you will set out on a tour of the Namib Desert, which boasts the highest sand dunes in the world. The dramatic colours, enhanced by the rising and setting sun, can be experienced. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 4: Swakopmund, Namibia
We will drive along the rim of the scenic Namib Naukluft Park and through the Namib Desert to reach Swakopmund (approximately 7 hours). En route you will visit the Moon Landscape. We’ll arrive in Swakopmund in the afternoon and check in to the “Beach Lodge”.

Day 5: Walvis Bay, Namibia
Enjoy an exciting 4 hour dolphin & seal cruise while you indulge in a light lunch which includes fresh Namibian oysters, sparkling wine and other tasty snacks. After the dolphin Cruise we’ll return to Swakopmund for a guided walk through the small coastal town.
All Dashers will reconvene for dinner where you can share your experiences for this day.

Day 6: Etosha Safari Camp | Pause Day
Situated a short distance from the southern park gate (Anderson Gate), Etosha Safari Camp’s bungalows are spacious and their large verandas offers spectacular views. Your meals will be served in a rustic tastefully designed restaurant. (Approximate drive time is 5 hours)

Day 7 & 8: Game Viewing in Etosha National Park
Your next two days will consist of relaxation and game viewing throughout Etosha National Park. To be given the chance to view lions and elephants in their natural habitat is an opportunity of a lifetime. The Onguma Bush Camp is situated within the 34,000 hectare private Onguma Nature Reserve which borders the National Park. The lounge and dining area overlook a stunning waterhole that affords great opportunities to see nature at play around the clock.
Upon arrival you will be met for your transfer to the luxurious Lion Sands River Lodge (approximately 2 hours). Lion Sands is situated along the banks of the Sabie River and overlooks the world renowned Kruger National Park.

Days 9 & 10: Windhoek, Namibia
Depart Etosha National Park and drive to Windhoek where you will be checked into the astonishing Onjala Lodge (approximately 7 hours). Onjala is situated in the eastern highlands of Namibia and is about a 40 minute drive from Windhoek International Airport.
The lodge is built on the slope of a hill overlooking the beautiful bush savannah. At Onjala you can decide to relax and take in the scenery or partake in a number of optional activities such as observatory stargazing, horseback riding or mountain biking.

Day 11:
Windhoek International Airport
Transfer to the Windhoek International Airport for your outbound flight.
After breakfast at Lions Sands, you will depart to O.R. Tambo International (cost of flight quoted separately) to board your return flight home.
